The 200,000-square-foot TELUS Centre houses a stunning array of learning and performance spaces, including 77 practice and teaching studios, the Rupert Edwards Library, the Wilmot and Judy Matthews Family Centre for Integrative Education, the Gerard Dekker Institute for New Programs Development, the Milton E. Harris Centre, a music technology lab, and the Michael and Sonja Koerner Early Music Instrument Collection. A glass-enclosed central atrium provides an architecturally stimulating and relaxed space where students, faculty, and staff meet informally to exchange ideas.
From the historic Bloor Street entrance to the handsome grand staircase, arched doors, stained glass windows and hardwood floors, Ihnatowycz Hall has been beautifully restored and is widely acclaimed as a heritage gem.
Designed in the tradition of Europe’s great concert venues, Koerner Hall provides an exquisite audience experience. In addition to its unique floating, ribbon-of-wood ceiling, and elegant interior finishes, Koerner Hall offers excellent sightlines and stellar acoustics. Spectacular glass lobbies offer extraordinary views of Philosopher’s Walk and the city.
Mazzoleni Concert Hall
Located in historic Ihnatowycz Hall, the beautifully restored Mazzoleni Concert Hall is one of Toronto’s Listed Heritage Buildings, and its exceptionally warm acoustics and charming ambience make it unique in the city. With only 237 seats, Mazzoleni Hall creates an intimate setting for each member of the audience and every artist on stage.
Inside the granite cube that floats above Bloor Street is the Temerty Theatre, an interactive multi-discipline performance venue, ideal for informal performances, multi-media talks and presentations, and intimate receptions.
